Case Study

Zest Kitchen Shop /

Zest Kitchen Shop is a brick-and-mortar retailer focusing on kitchen tools, gadgets, cookware, bakeware, tableware and gifts. When they decided they needed an online presence, Twelve23 was there to help.

Our Approach

We spent time with the client to get a feel for the personality of the business and business-owners to help determine the aesthetic of the brochure site. With constant communication, we iteratively built a site that effectively showcased their mission of inspiring home cooking with friends and family. The build included custom image treatment, color palette selection, content creation and a clean layout design that would subtly suggest a stress-free cooking experience.

Built to Last

While currently a brochure site, Zest looked ahead to the future, and wanted to be sure that their site could support ecommerce when they were ready to begin selling online. This required a content management system that could not only allow the client to easily update their own content when they saw fit, but also tie in with their instore POS system once a webstore is launched.

Setting them up for success in the future, we implemented LightSpeed ecommerce solutions to work in concert with Zest’s instore point-of-sale system. When they are ready to begin selling online, this will ensure accurate inventory control as well as cross-platform reporting and business analysis from a single interface, simplifying administrative functions for these small business owners.

Zest Kitchen Shop now has an effective web presence that will support their current efforts and scale for the future.
